Ongoing Financial Planning Reviews
We don’t believe that a financial plan is a one-off event. Just like everything else in life, it is going to need some care and attention. A tree, once planted – is going to need some water.
Our financial planning review process is one of the simplest and fairest in the industry. If you’ve never had a financial plan before, you’ll appreciate the simplicity of knowing what you’re getting, and how much you’re paying for it. If you’ve had a financial plan in the past, you’ll appreciate just how fair our fee structure is – and that you will never pay for something that you don’t need to.
The financial planning review process addresses changes to the following areas and adjusts your plan accordingly:
- your financial planning needs and objectives
- your income and expenditure
- your family situation and health
- your life insurance needs
- deductible and non-deductible debt
- the economic environment
- investment and superannuation portfolio performance
- your taxation position and any relevant changes in the current tax law
- any opportunities to reduce your tax payable
- social security issues
- new investment opportunities
While this is not a conclusive list, it gives you just a glimpse of what can change and what we look for. Ultimately, it’s about having a trusted financial adviser working with you over time to ensure that you are reaching your financial and life goals, and that you are doing it as efficiently and effectively as possible. Efficient in that it’s working as well as possible for you, and effective in that it’s actually the right thing that is working for you.
Upon discussing your particular needs with your financial planner, you will both agree upon how often you will need to review your situation and what additional services you may require. It will be very clear to you what you’re getting and what you’re paying for.
