Fee for Service – No Commissions

Financial Spectrum financial planners say NO to commissions

Financial Spectrum was founded as a "fee for service" company so that we could provide quality advice to our clients irrespective of the amount of commissions recommending a particular product may pay. We are financial advisers committed to recommending the best products for your wealth creation above all, not ours.

Any initial commissions earned from placing a client into a product is rebated back to them in full.  In most situations these fees can be avoided completely so more of your money is working harder for you by reducing the entry and ongoing fees.  In the rare case where we cannot avoid being paid a commission, our expert financial planners will send the money right back to you into your nominated account.

This ensures that you receive advice because it’s right for you - simple.

Initial Advice - The Plan

Initial advice covers our initial meetings, finding out about you, presenting you with your options, implementing them and setting you up to ensure maximum efficiency.  The advice our  financial planners give will be unique to your situation.  We appreciate that financial planning needs to be flexible depending upon the particular client.

The more work our  financial advisors do for you, the more the cost will be.  We do not charge a percentage of what you invest with us.  After discussing your needs, we will be able to tell you the cost of a plan and initial advice during our initial complimentary meeting.

Ongoing Advice - The Relationship

We don't believe that a financial plan is a one-off event.  The true value of advice is only seen over time with regular reviews to ensure that your plan continues to suit your needs.

The review process addresses changes to the following areas and adjusts your plan accordingly:

  • your needs and objectives
  • your income and expenditure
  • your family situation and health
  • your insurance needs
  • deductible and non-deductible debt
  • the economic environment
  • investment and superannuation portfolio performance
  • your taxation position and any relevant changes in the current tax law
  • social security issues
  • new investment opportunities

Financial planning is a complex business.  All these areas are subject to constant change and these changes may impact significantly on the suitability of your strategy and portfolio.  We recommend ongoing reporting and advisory services to enable us to review your financial strategy regularly and alter your portfolio as and when required.

What you pay for the regular review service is dependent upon the level of service that you wish to receive.  Your financial adviser will recommend a level of service to you, but ultimately it is up to you.  We have six different service packages ranging from yearly meetings to monthly phone coaching.
